It was a big weekend of driving, playing hockey, visiting with friends and nephews, yummy breakfast eating, and dog walking. Now I'm happily home in Calgary -- a city with a view -- after a second place finish in the tournament.
After taking Kyle and Matthew out for Kyle's birthday dinner Friday night, I met the team at the rink and we won our first game 8-3. Saturday we won our second game 4-3. Today we lost to the hosts 10-3. Yipes! We were supposed to play them to finish the round robin today, then meet them in a final an hour later. Both teams opted to play once. Good thing too ... tense game. A second one would have been ugly.
