Lake Minnewanka in the Fall

A perfect fall day in Banff. Heather, Dave, Kate M, and Wendy hit the Lake Minnewanka trail with me today. I rode it in the spring with the Spin Sisters before it closed to cyclists for the summer. It opened again last weekend.

A perfect cross country mountain bike trail with minimal climbing. Just lots of fun, flowy, curvy track with roots and rocks. A little exposure too, but great views of the mountain-rimmed lake below.

It's 15kms to the warden's cabin where we stopped for a snack and, as it turned out, a flat repair for Heather. Then we turned around and did it all again in reverse. Good pace and lots of smiles in the hot fall sunshine!
